Program Overview

The Police Foundations Diploma Program provides our students with academic knowledge, physical training, psychological training, and hands on experience. This allows students to confidently apply to jobs in Federal, Provincial and Municipal police services as well as other Law Enforcement Agencies.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) OR
  • Equivalent: Foreign credentials must be translated into English and assessed for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization (refer to Section I-4.4) OR
  • Mature Student with a score of 11 or more on the Wonderlic SLE (or other MCU-approved tests – Note: CAT and CAST can no longer be used)
  • Signed Vulnerable Sector Disclaimer In Ontario, the MCU requires all students to sign a Vulnerable Sector Disclaimer upon enrollment. (refer to Section II-3 – Vulnerable Sector Disclaimer)
  • Signed Medical Disclaimer In Ontario, all students are required to sign a Medical Disclaimer upon enrollment. (refer to Section II-4 – Medical Disclaimer)
English as a Second Language
  • IELTS – International English Language Testing Services – Minimum average score of 6.0 with no subject test score lower than 5.5. OR
  • TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-based test (IBT) – over 80, with a minimum of 20 in each component.
